Use, Analysis and Visualisation of Geodata: The 3rd GEO-Academy Workshop
The workshop is designed to enhance educators’ spatial, digital, and green skills. This online workshop introduces a tool from the wide range of resources available on the Geo-Academy platform: CODAP (Common Online Data Analysis Platform). CODAP is a free, web-based tool that helps students examine and analyze data from various school subjects. With its intuitive drag-and-drop interface for dynamically linked graphs, maps, and tables, CODAP makes it easy to visualize patterns and relationships in real-world data. The tool is ideal for projects that combine data analysis with sustainability, geography, and location-based research.
In addition, the participants will be able to hear more about GEO-Academy, GEOBSERVE, and the GEO-Academy’s Unified Competence Framework.
The workshop is organised within the GEO-Academy project, which is an Erasmus+ project, aiming to develop a network offering tailored teacher training and development to incorporate Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS) and Earth Observation (EO) along with Geospatial Storytelling in environmental and Sustainable Development education topics through tools and materials. The project developed the GEOBSERVE platform, hosting trainings and materials, as well as resources and guides to support implementation in the classroom, available free and accessible everywhere.
