Hosted at the World Forum in The Hague from 13 to 15 October, the EuroGEO 2025 workshop provided Eurisy a valuable platform to spark dynamic discussions on empowering the next generation of Earth Observation innovators.
The ESA Acceleration Days: Accelerate Urban Green Transition was the second event in a new series of competitions which demonstrate the impact of rapid and open innovation to quickly co-create marketable solutions with end-users. The event was organised by the European Space Agency and Sopra Steria, in collaboration with the European Commission’s DG CLIMA and supported by a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Covenant of Mayors, the European Environment Agency, and representatives from the cities of Paris, Essen, Gävle, among others.
Stakeholders from public authorities, research institutions, civil society, and the private sector convened on 9 September 2025 in Kranj, Slovenia to address disaster risk management (DRM) challenges and the use of satellite technologies.
Between 13 and 18 July 2025, as a GEO-Academy project partner, Eurisy attended the GEO-Academy Summer School 2025 in Sesimbra, Portugal, entitled “Innovative digital GEO-Tools for enhancing teachers’ digital, green and spatial skills towards an effective STEAM Education for Sustainable Development”. The summer school focused on exchanging knowledge and enriching the participating teachers from elementary and high schools from all over Europe with practical skills, tools, and collaborative strategies to effectively teach geospatial phenomena through innovative, research-informed, and student-centred approaches.
Eurisy attended the New Space Economy Congress 2025 held in Barcelona, Spain, from 3 to 4 July 2025. The event gathered over 40 international speakers and featured a rich programme focused on how innovation — including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) — is transforming the space sector into a key driver of progress across multiple domains.
On 30 June 2025, Eurisy held its annual General Assembly, a moment to reconnect the community for an afternoon of reflection on recent achievements and discussions on the association’s future direction.
Jointly organised by Eurisy and Xjenza Malta, the event delved into the transformative power of space-based data, highlighting how the integration of satellite data with AI can enhance accessibility and generate actionable insights across multiple sectors.
From 23 to 25 June 2025, Eurisy supported the three-day “Accelerate Space Weather Resilience” hackathon, held under the umbrella of the new ESA Acceleration Days, where multidisciplinary teams gathered to develop innovative solutions using space weather data to enhance spacecraft operations.
On March 13th, the Geospatial Tools for Cities Focus Group officially kicked off its activities with an online opening event. All the participants met for the first time, engaging in dynamic and fruitful discussions about the group's future and planned activities for the coming months.
